Lab Testing
We offer personalized data to guide smarter health decisions.
Hi! My name is Mel,
a specialized Nurse Health Coach
I’m a Registered Nurse in the province of Alberta with over 14 years of experience and a passion for preventative healthcare, nutrition and functional fitness! In addition to my BScN, I’ve earned a Masters Degree in Public Health, with a specialization in Nursing - MPH(N), and have received additional training for healthcare providers in obesity management, diabetes education and managing cardiovascular health.
Understanding what’s happening inside your body is key to making informed choices about your health. Our lab testing services provide clear, clinically relevant insights that help guide nutrition, supplementation, and lifestyle strategies tailored to your individual needs.
Whether you are managing weight, navigating metabolic health, or optimizing overall wellness, lab testing allows us to move beyond guesswork and create a plan based on real data.
Why Lab Testing Matters
Symptoms like fatigue, stubborn weight changes, digestive issues, and low energy often have underlying causes that are not visible on the surface. Lab testing helps identify imbalances and trends so we can support your health with precision and confidence.
Our approach focuses on using lab data to inform practical, sustainable changes rather than chasing numbers or trends.
Labs We Assess
Lab panels are selected based on your health history, goals, and current concerns. Testing may include:
Metabolic and blood sugar markers
Cardiovascular risk indicators
Thyroid function
Nutrient status such as iron, B vitamins, vitamin D, magnesium
Inflammatory markers
Hormonal balance where appropriate
All testing is reviewed in the context of your overall health, symptoms, and lifestyle.
How Lab Testing Works
-
Step 1: Initial Consultation
We begin with a comprehensive intake to understand your health history, goals, and current symptoms. This allows us to determine which labs are most appropriate for you.

-
Step 2: Lab Testing
Testing is completed through accredited laboratories using standard bloodwork or specialty panels when indicated.

-
Step 3: Results Review & Education
Your results are reviewed in detail during a one-on-one session. You’ll learn what each marker means, how it relates to your symptoms, and where support may be needed.

-
Step 4: Personalized Action Plan
Based on your results, we develop clear recommendations that may include nutrition strategies, supplementation guidance, lifestyle changes, or follow-up testing.

How We Support You
Lab testing is can be used alongside our other services, including GLP-1 support programs, weight management, and wellness coaching. It helps ensure that nutrition and lifestyle recommendations align with your body’s actual needs, especially during periods of change such as medication use, dose adjustments, or metabolic shifts.
This integrated approach supports long-term success, safety, and sustainability.
Who Benefits from Lab Testing

Experiencing fatigue, low energy, or brain fog
